Prompt Customization

Customizing ClearFeed's GPT Powered Answers through modified prompts

Prompt customization enables you to tailor responses to your organization's unique needs and communication style.

This customization is not available on the UI. Please contract us via Slack or email us at support@clearfeed.ai to enable this.

Below are the customization options available:

  1. Response Length

Control how detailed the bot's responses are with three preset options:

  • Thorough/Verbose: Provides detailed, step-by-step responses for clarity.

  • Standard (Default): Balanced, offering concise explanations with sufficient context.

  • Concise: Brief, to-the-point responses in bullet points or short sentences.

  1. Response Tone

Adjust the tone of communication to suit your brand:

  • Professional/Formal: Objective and formal language suitable for official communication.

  • Standard/Neutral (Default): Balanced and approachable for general purposes.

  • Friendly/Informal: Relaxed and conversational for a casual audience.

  1. Response Language

Ensure the bot communicates effectively in the preferred language of your users:

  • Default Language Matching: Responds in the language of the query.

  • Restrict Answer Languages: Limits responses to a predefined set of languages.

  1. Bot Context and Glossary

Enhance the bot's understanding of your domain:

  • Bot Context: Define the bot’s operational role, audience, and expected queries. Example: A bot tailored for customer support with access to company documentation.

  • Glossary of Terms: Specify internal or industry-specific jargon to improve response accuracy.

  1. Excluded Query Categories

Prevent the bot from responding to specific query types:

  • Category Description: Briefly outline the type of queries to exclude.

  • Examples: Provide sample queries to help the bot recognize and avoid them. Example:

    • Name: Pricing Inquiries

    • Description: Queries about pricing, subscription plans, or discounts.

    • Examples:

      • "How much does the enterprise plan cost?"

      • "Can you tell me about your pricing tiers?"
