Overview

AI Agents in ClearFeed are configurable, intelligent assistants that provide accurate and contextual responses by leveraging your connected knowledge bases. In addition to answering user queries, AI Agents can integrate with tools like JIRA, HubSpot, and Zendesk to help your support teams take direct actions such as creating issues, updating tickets, or modifying deals—all through simple interactions in Slack.

Each AI Agent can be customized and configured at the Collection level, allowing teams to tailor the behavior, data access, and tool integration of the AI for different support workflows.

What is an AI Agent?

An AI Agent in ClearFeed is a smart assistant that operates within Slack to:

  • ✅ Provide answers based on selected Knowledge Sources

  • 🔧 Connect with tools like JIRA, HubSpot, and Zendesk for action-taking capabilities

  • 🤖 Interact autonomously or be manually invoked by users by tagging the bot in threads

Creating an AI Agent

To create an AI Agent:

  1. From the left navigation bar on the ClearFeed WebApp, go to AI > .

  2. Click on “New AI Agent”.

  3. Customize the Name and Profile Photo – these will be shown in Slack responses posted by the AI Agent.

    • Use the Edit icon to update the display name.

    • Paste the image URL into the Profile Photo field under General Information.

  4. Add a brief description of the agent to help your team understand its role.

  5. Under Knowledge Sources, link the agent to the appropriate sources using relevant tags.

  6. Under Integrations, connect any external tools (like JIRA, HubSpot, Zendesk) that the agent will use for executing actions.
